Doula Services

The support of a doula through pregnancy and birth has many advantages with studies showing that the presence of a doula can enhance the birth experience (not only for the mother but her partner too), reduce the potential for interventions and emergency caesarean birth, and increase the level of satisfaction a woman and her family can feel, leaving them with a calmer and more confident approach to the parenting journey ahead.

Doula support during the first few weeks and months after the arrival of baby can help facilitate a positive and empowering transition into parenthood.

We work together to offer comprehensive and fully customisable birth and postnatal birth packages for every kind of family.

We cover all of Worcestershire and parts the neighbouring counties. We are able to support births at home, birth centres and hospitals. Hospitals & birth centres we cover are:

Birth doula Package

Following getting in touch with us via email or telephone we will recommend an initial meeting with both of us at a place of your choice.

After a period of reflection if you decide to book our services we will work together to provide your antenatal support so that you are able to develop a foundation of trust with both of us. Nearer the Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD) you will be given an on-call schedule so that you know who to call when you go into labour. The on-call doula will support you and your partner throughout the birth of your baby and stay with you until you are settled. This doula will also visit you at home postnatally.

You will receive:

  • A minimum of 2 antenatal visits tailored to your needs. We will explore your preferences and birth wish list; discuss your preparation for birth and beyond, including the physiology of birth, comfort measures for labour, infant feeding, infant care and much more.

  • 24 hour on call period between 38 and 42 weeks depending on your individual needs.

  • Presence at the birth from the moment you decide that you want us with you. We remain with you after the birth until you and your baby are settled, supporting the first feed if that is something you would like.

  • A minimum of 2 postnatal visits.

  • Unlimited communication via text, phone or email throughout and for as long as you need it.

We are extremely flexible about the services that we offer, so if there is something you feel you would like, but can't see it listed here, please let us know.

If you decide that you want us to continue to provide you with support after the last postnatal visit we will then offer you the Postnatal Package.

Birth package price ranged between £800-£1000

adoption, Fertility and surrogacy support

All of our antenatal, birth and postnatal packages can be adapted for families creating their family through adoption, fertility treatment or surrogacy.

We appreciate that these complex and emotional situations can often benefit from the support of a doula from the moment you start thinking about creating your family. A doula can reduce the potential for feeling isolated, by ensuring that you always have a safe place to share and explore your thoughts and feelings, alongside the practical aspects of support such as signposting you to appropriate services and other helpful professionals, helping you to plan ahead, and gathering the evidence based information you can use to make fully informed decisions about your parenting journey.

In the first instance we recommend getting in touch to arrange an initial meeting to discuss your individual situation and needs. Our services are fully flexible and adaptable so that we can  provide support that is truly meaningful to you.

Fee based on hourly rate of £20
